Synopsis
Galy Galiano is one of the most popular and versatile singers in Latin America. With more than 11 million records sold worldwide, he has conquered the hearts of the public through his ballads, rancheras and his salsa hits. But everyone knows that, what they don't know is that he became a musician without meaning to and that it was his heart as a young man in love who led him to compose the most romantic love songs, becoming the first Colombian to occupy the list of the Billboard magazine in the United States.
This story begins in a town on the coast in the 70s, a town far from civilization, where the station worked through a loudspeaker. People settled around the town's only television to watch the boxing fights and no other music was heard than vallenato. In the midst of this environment, Galy grows up, a simple boy who finds in the ballad the best way to communicate his unconditional love to Lorena Serrani, the prettiest and most noble girl in town, but a deadly enemy of Galy's family for past problems. With the intention of serenading him, the same day that Lorena returns from a boarding school after being absent for five years, Galy, without meaning to, forms his first musical group: “Los diamantes del César”. And what is born as a simple serenade, little by little leads them to become the most important balladeer band in the region.
Over time, Galy will discover that he is in love with the wrong woman, since Yamile Cantillo, the ugly one from the town, who has been secretly in love with the singer since she was a child, is the one who has been writing the romantic letters that he believes belong to his beloved Lorena. After many mistakes and misunderstandings, Galy discovers Yamile's inner beauty and decides to live her first romance with her, while with her band of friends "Los Diamantes del Cesar" she dedicates herself to giving serenades in neighboring towns to heal hearts. Of the people who have suffered a love affair, and without meaning to, by good luck, or by destiny, Galy ends up in Bogotá recording her first song "Frío de Ausencia" that shoots her to fame overnight and without no one expects it.

Despite being a thoroughbred costeño, Carmelo Galiano, a name he shares with his paternal grandfather, is a born balladeer, in a context where the ballad was for women and “faggots”. But this doesn't matter to her, Galy goes through life enjoying the present and taking advantage of the good things that life brings her. He is not a boy who stays up all night for fame, success, or money, and yet, little by little, life will bring opportunities for him to reach heights that he never even dreamed of. Galy will become the inspiration that Carmencita needs to be free. The irrepressible passion that Lorena begins to feel in her forced courtship with Felipe, will vent nothing more and nothing less than Galy, who turns out to be the man whose kisses will end up obsessing her to her shame, because she will never be able to accept such an ugly and of such low social class.
