Synopsis

Someone said that the marriage was badly designed. And it seems that he was absolutely right, because the number of marriages that decide to separate is increasing every day throughout the world. It does not matter if they have been three months or twenty-five years, the fact is that neither men nor women are willing to put up with a bad relationship, nor to live without love. Therefore, for the vast majority of women, making the decision to separate is not easy. When they decide to do so, they are filled with guilt, even though they are clear that they cannot bear a lie, not a blow, not one more insult. They are educated to think first about others, about what they will say, about the economic needs that they will experience if they are left alone, about anything but their own happiness.

To complete, they enter into a violent crisis with themselves, with work, with the family, with the ex-mother-in-law, with their children, with their friends, with the ex's new wife, rather, with the whole world. All these women, without exception, are victims of themselves: they keep quiet about what they really think and feel. To protect themselves, so as not to feel weak, out of fear or because there is no other choice. To survive in a relationship. And that is why each one is an antagonist of her own history. There is nothing that hurts a woman more than not being consistent with what she thinks and feels. That's why each of them has a reason, a conflict that will make her marriage even more difficult.

The protagonists of this story also have one thing in common: unfortunately or fortunately they are separated or about to be, except for Antonia Palacio, the owner of the real estate services company where they all work. She is the only one who can still say that after twenty years of marriage, she is still happily married. The question is, how long will Antonia's happiness last?

Camila es one of the most elegant and attractive women of the local jet-set. She is the wife of Manuel Gomez,owner of an important real estate firm. She is apparently happy, but actually her life is absolutely miserable. Manuel is the father of her son, with whom she does not have a good relationship and the man who brought her mother out of bad life. She is always sad and lonely, as she has nobody she can share her thoughts and hopes with.

Yorley Zúñiga

Yorley comes from a really humble origin. Having to struggie since she can remember. Yorley is a hardworker, tireless, and driven by an incredible energy. She is a positive person who believes in a progress via hard work. Yorley’s dream is to have some kind of economic stability. She lives together with Mario, the love of her life, and their 10 year old daughter, Olivia.

Margot Álvarez

Interpreted by: Carmenza Gómez

Margot Álvarez –50 years old (She always takes care of everybody, except herself. She has never questioned whether she is happy or not. Her husband’s abandonment makes her do extreme things). Margot has a husband and two children, Jenny and César David. She works as a secretary from dawn to night and is a dedicated and loving wife and mother. Margot tries to calm her anxiety by over eating, mostly junk food, which has made her a bit chubby. At her age, this all seems normal, even her husband’s indifference. Margot and her husband haven’t made love for over six months, he barely notices her but she doesn’t consider the idea of ever divorcing him, regardless of whatever she has to put up with.

Upstart, ambitious, and with the dream of having a good salary, no more debts, no more austere life and no more middle class. She will do everything possible to achieve what she wants, even if she has to go over everyone, including her husband.

A woman of incredible beauty. Cheerful, funny, clumsy, with low self-esteem, but with a lot of desire to live and to separate from her husband who mistreats her physically and emotionally.
