Synopsis

Juan is an accountant who has been working at Etichetta Due for 10 years, thanks to Daniela, who at that time was his girlfriend and worked as Osvaldo's secretary, the owner of the place. Due to his weak and trusting character, Juan has always been the laughing stock and the scapegoat of the office. The only friend of his inside him was Eduardo, until the day he found him having sex with Daniela, the mother of his two children.

As a result of this unfortunate incident, Juan went to live in a small apartment and there he decided that it was better not to throw away his seniority because he lacked savings and the expenses, between the new rent and the maintenance of his parents and their children, did not leave him much room for action. So he convinced himself to show up at the office as always, resigned to seeing his unfaithful wife, his traitorous friend and his other abusive colleagues together.

One afternoon, when Juan had realized that he was truly unfortunate, he left work to wander the streets of the city and snooping around in a bookstore, he came across a book that powerfully caught his attention. It was the last copy of the “MANUAL TO BE HAPPY, 50 infallible recipes to achieve happiness”. Inside, there were hundreds of recipes, practical rules, exercises, advice, premises, directives. Juan could not with the intrigue that -magically- reading a book could change his reality and he bought it. Week by week, Juan will read and put into practice each of the chapters of the book and see the chaotic consequences they have on his life, but it will also lead him towards the path of self-esteem and true love, because inside the office there is a woman who, although she does not work there, is more important than the owner of the factory: Luisa Sanz, the young owner of one of the most important clothing chains in the country.

Mónica Parra

She is almost a model: five foot seven, long legs, captivating eyes, silky skin, abundant hair and a perfect smile. Her only flaw is that she knows it and she is sure that her beauty will be her direct ticket to fortune. Her only interest is to marry Osvaldo, which is why she hates Luisa and every time she steps into the office, she does anything to make her stay hell. She is Daniela's friend and confidant.

Aníbal Rufino

Interpreted by: Julio Pachón

Also administrative employee. Although he is more cautious, he is Lucho's unconditional friend and the one who supports him in his practical jokes. They share everything except the soccer fervor since Aníbal is a Boca fan, which is a problem because soccer chicanes can lead them to spend days without speaking or in open war. Like Lucho, Aníbal would be capable of anything to have something with Mónica Parra, the prettiest in the office.

Lucho Alcántara

Purchasing agent. One of the office pranksters. He has no limit and does not know what bad taste is. Anything is a joke for him. And Juan is his favorite target. He will distance himself from Lucho when he puts a limit to joking with Juan and will look for other allies. He is single. He lives with his mother and his four female sisters who make life difficult for him.

Eugenia Rodríguez

Interpreted by: Juana Arboleda

Known to all as Euge, she is the telephone operator, receptionist and all the "ists" that Etichetta De needs. She is a gossip by nature, she knows everything that happens in the company and its surroundings. Nothing escapes her radar and she sells her knowledge dearly. And that is not only what she sells: since her salary is very small, she earns a few extra pesos selling cosmetics, perfumes, jewelry and even underwear among the factory employees.

Gato Paredes

Interpreted by: Biassini Segura

He is Etichetta Due's messenger. Although he is much younger than Juan, he becomes his best friend and confidant after the crisis with Daniela and Eduardo. He is a smart young man who owes his nickname to his ability to get out of any situation. Winner with women, nice, seductive, and an unconditional ally of Juan. Juan will recover his humor thanks to Gato and will make him his confidant in his love story with Luisa.

Osvaldo Mayorca

Interpreted by: Andrés Suárez

Soledad was born in the midst of adversity. Her visual impairment accidentally caused the death of her older brother and the hatred of a mother who keeps a secret. Life gave her a gift: she sings with the perfection of the world's great singers.
